NANNING - An Internet cafe collapsed in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region Thursday evening, burying an unknown number of people, local authorities said.

The collapse happened at around 10 pm in the Gangbei District in the city of Guiguang, local police said.

Eight people were pulled out of the debris and rushed to a local hospital. Rescue work was still underway.
