Anyang Aero Sports Tourism Festival opens

The 4th China Anyang International Aero Sports Tourism Festival is held from May 26 to June 2 in Anyang, Henan province.

The festival, organized by the State General Administration of Sport, the Henan Provincial People's Government and the Aviation Industry Corporation of China, attracts 504 pilots, among whom 110 are from overseas, to compete in seven aero events including parachuting, stunt flying, paragliding, motor-gliding and hot-air balloon. The festival features 468 aircraft.
The Asian Paragliding Championships, the National Parachuting Championships, the National Helicopter Championships and the National Aero Remote Control Championships is held during the festival, along with an aviation education forum.

Anyang, one of the Eight Ancient Capitals of China, has been making efforts over the past years to develop itself into a hub for aviation sports.
