"At present, more than 60,000 people were registered as drug addicts in Southwest China's Chongqing city," said Xie Lun, the director of Chongqing administrative bureau of rehabilitation. "70 percent of the drug addicts are younger than 35, generally with low-literacy, and become addicted at entertainment venues.
"Their motives to have drugs are usually to pursue excitement or to fulfill their curiosities. 70 percent of the drug addicts are urban residents and male," said Xie.
