Chongqing police officials removed from office

Two officials from the local police force in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality have been removed from their posts.
Wang Pengfei, the police chief of the municipality's Yubei district, and Li Yang, head of the municipal police's criminal police department, have been dismissed, according to a statement published on the municipal government's website.
The statement did not provide reasons for the move.
