Tax official accused of raping intern

A senior tax official in Fujian province has been detained over allegations he raped a summer intern.
According to a report by Legal Daily, Zhao Huizhong is accused of attacking a junior medical student who had provided free checkups to workers in his office.
He has been removed from his post as director of Fu'an city's taxation administration, and his replacement was appointed on July 9, the report said.
The alleged victim, identified only as Liu, reportedly told police that Zhao and several others tried to get her drunk on July 5 at an office lunch held to thank the interns .
Legal Daily added that she claims Zhao took her to a room at the city's exhibition hotel at 8 pm that day and raped her.
Police detained Zhao on July 6.
