Wang Yang, Party secretary of Guangdong province and other senior provincial officials took part in a live ammunition drill with solders to celebrate Military Day on Aug 1, the 85th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army.
Army Day drill is a traditional activity to enhance the Party's leadership of troops, deepen the civilian official's understanding of the army's development, and boost the relationship between troops and citizens as well as the government.
Wang Yang congratulated the officers and soldiers stationed in Guangdong province on behalf of the local authorities, highly praising their contributions to local development.
