A sports car crashed into a truck on Sunday morning in Nanjing, the capital of East China's Jiangsu province, killing four people.
Police said that the sports car's driver was under the influence of alcohol.
After running a red light at a crossroad in downtown Nanjing at about 3 am, the Infiniti sports car crashed into a light truck and tumbled several times.
Two passengers were thrown out of the car and killed on the spot, and the driver was also found dead in the front seat, according to local traffic police.
A pedestrian, who had just stepped out of a taxi, was also hit by the car and killed.
More than 15 percent of respondents said they wouldn't mind being in a car driven by a drunk driver, according to a recent survey by Nanjing's Traffic Management Bureau and the provincial center for disease control and prevention.
