The Ministry of Culture and Shenzhen municipal government recently announced in Beijing the draft plan of the China Design Exhibition 2012.
Coming to Shenzhen in December, the exhibition will be organized in four parts — product design, graphic design, space design and crossover design. Exhibition organizers are calling for nationwide entries.
Product design will focus on the integration of Chinese design and manufacturing, trying to explore an effective path to upgrade Chinese creativity.
Space design will use installation, model and video to demonstrate more than 50 classifications of space, such as community, transport and shopping.
Graphic design features subjects of image, magazine and character design. Crossover design discusses the design work in relation to society as a whole.
