Man kills 1, injures 4 in Chongqing

A person was killed and four were wounded by a man in a village in the Fengjie district of Southwest China's Chongqing municipality, according to local media.
The attacker was shot by police and died on the way to the hospital.
Xie Heping, who lived in the Shiyan village of Dashu township, wounded a man in his village with a knife before killing the man's wife and wounding his son with a self-made powder shotgun on Monday, cqnew.net reported.
Xie then wounded two police officers with the shotgun after police tried to capture him.
Local authorities in Fengjie district are investigating the case.
The man's motives are still being investigated.
