China's drug watchdogs will publish a blacklist of drug companies penalized for manufacturing and selling fake drugs and substandard medical apparatus, Beijing News reported Thursday.
The blacklist must be prominently published on the official websites of all provincial level and above drug watchdogs from October 1, according to a new regulation issued by the State Food and Drug Administration Wednesday.
The published information should include the name of the company, address, the name of legal representatives and his/her ID number, the company's illegal action, the penalty fined and the public notification period, says the regulation.
When the notification period expires, all the information about the blacklisted company will be stored into a database for future public inquiry.
