NE China road accident kills 9

SHENYANG - A collision between an industrial vehicle and a minibus in Northeast China's Liaoning province on Friday has killed nine people and injured three others, local authorities have told Xinhua.
The accident happened at 6:40 am when a heavy tipper crossed the central partition and collided head-on into a minibus in Fushun county in Fushun city. Eight people died at the scene, while another passed away in hospital after treatment failed, according to an official of the municipal government.
All the dead and injured were on board the minibus, while the tipper driver was unharmed by the crash, the official said.
The driver is under police custody and investigation into the cause of the accident is under way.
