Man shot dead in Guangxi

A man was shot dead early Sunday morning in Nanning, South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, according to local media reports.
The shooting happened under the Baisha bridge near the hospital affiliated to the Guangxi Medical University in the city's Qingxiu district, according to a report on the provincial news portal gxnews.com.cn.
It quoted a man surnamed Deng, who was about 100 meters away from where the shooting happened, who said he heard something that sounded like a tire explosion at about 3:30 am.
Before the police arrived, Deng said he went to the spot and saw a man on the ground, dead.
The report said the man was shot in the head, citing an unnamed policeman at the scene. The case is under further investigation.
