BEIJING - Typhoon Tembin and Bolaven are moving towards China's coasts and will bring gales and storms there on Sunday, the country's meteorological authority has forecast.

The year's 14th typhoon, Tembin, was in the northeast of the South China Sea early Sunday morning and will move south and then northeast towards the sea area south of Taiwan at a speed of five to 10 km per hour, the National Meteorological Center said.

Tembin will bring gales to the northeast of South China Sea, the Taiwan Strait, southern coast of Fujian province and eastern coast of Guangdong Province. Heavy rain and storms will hit the coasts of Fujian and Guangdong, as well as in southern Taiwan.

Bolaven, the 15th typhoon of the year, was about 940 km away from Xiangshan county of Zhejiang province early Sunday morning. It was heading northwest at a speed of around 15 km per hour.

It will bring gales to the East China Sea and heavy rain to the northeastern coast of Zhejiang.

The center said that local authorities should be prepared with emergency response plans and ships working in affected areas should return to the harbors.
