BEIJING - A Chinese mainland publisher on Wednesday inked a contract to introduce a recent bestseller on Chinese food culture to Korean readers.
Publishers in Hong Kong, Taiwan and the US have already obtained copyright licenses for "A Bite of China," a book adapted from a popular documentary series of the same name, according to Zhu Qing, president of Guangming Daily Press, the book's publisher.
Publishers in France, Italy, Spain and Japan have also asked about licensing the book, Zhu said at the ongoing 19th Beijing International Book Fair.
The documentary series debuted on May 14 on China Central Television (CCTV).
