BEIJING - Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping on Saturday urged Party cadres to constantly absorb new knowledge and maintain theoretical study in order to improve the level of leadership.
Constant learning will help the cadres enhance working capacities and keep one's mind active and upgraded, Xi, also president of the Party School of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, said at the school's opening ceremony for this year's autumn semester.
The learning in the Party school will provide a chance to draw lessons from past working experience, to correct misconceptions, and to make good preparations for future work, Xi told some 1,800 learners and faculties of the school.
It is also a good opportunity for officials from different regions to exchange ideas and learn from each other, Xi said. ( He urged new learners to concentrate on the study during the new semester and enhance their capabilities of solving practical problems to better serve the people.
