Taiwan negotiator on cross-Straits affairs to resign

TAIPEI - Chiang Pin-kung announced on Wednesday he will resign from his post as chairman of the Taiwan-based Straits Exchange Foundation (SEF) on September 27.
Taiwan authorities have approved his resignation.
Founded in 1990, the SEF is authorized by Taiwan to handle cross-Straits affairs.
