8 dead in NE China road accident

SHENYANG - Eight people have been killed and 15 others injured, including five seriously, in a truck-coach collision that occurred in Northeast China's Liaoning province on Saturday, local authorities said.
A total of 23 people were in the container truck and the coach, which collided head-on around 12:30 pm on a provincial highway, sources with the local government said.
Eight people died on the spot. The injured were sent to nearby hospitals.
Traffic on the road has resumed and an investigation into the accident is under way.
