HARBIN - Authorities said Friday that the bodies of all six miners who were trapped in a flooded colliery pit in late September in northeast China's Heilongjiang province have been cremated.
The bodies of the six miners, which were retrieved on Tuesday, were cremated on Friday morning, said a spokesman with the government of Jidong county.
The accident happened around 8 am on September 22 in Jiayi Colliery in Jidong county, trapping six, said the spokesman.
Investigators said the flood waters gushed from a mined-out area.
