Heavy snow, rainstorms to hit China

BEIJING - Heavy snow is expected to hit northern parts of Xinjiang with rainstorms set to sweep East and Central China over the next three days, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) said on Wednesday.
Some parts of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the West Sichuan Plateau in west China could see rain and snow. Some areas in Xinjiang and Tibet could also experience heavy snow between Wednesday and Friday.
Rain is expected to hit eastern and the central parts of the country, including areas along the Yangtze River and the Yellow River as well as the Huaihe River, the NMC said.
