China, Russia vow to advance women's exchanges

MOSCOW - Both China and Russia have pledged to continue to support and promote women's exchange and cooperation between the two countries, said information given to Xinhua Friday by a visiting Chinese women's delegation in Russia.
The Chinese women's delegation was led by Chen Zhili, vice-chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the 11th National People's Congress, who is also president of the All-China Women's Federation.
During her stay in Russia, Chen met with Russian parliamentarians Thursday in Moscow, the Russian capital, and also attended the 5th Sino-Russian Women's Forum and the 7th Sino-Russian Women's Culture Week which started here the same day.
In her two separate meetings with Russian legislators, Chen also briefed them about the achievements reached at the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), which concluded on Nov 14.
