Heavy snow to sweep Central and East China

BEIJING - Heavy snow and rain is expected to sweep Central and East China over the next three days, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) forecasted Thursday.
The center said that northern parts of the Yellow- and Huaihe-river area and eastern and southern parts of north China will also see heavy snow. There will be light to moderate snow in the northern parts of the country.
Some regions will experience blizzards or sleet.
It added that eastern and northern parts of the Yangtze River will be hit by moderate to heavy rain, while southern parts of the Yellow- and Huaihe-river area are likely to experience light or showery rain.
Over the next three days, light to moderate snow or sleet will fall in some regions in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, Inner Mongolia and other parts of North China, together with strong winds.
