Li Xiaopeng appointed as acting governor of Shanxi

TAIYUAN - Li Xiaopeng was appointed acting governor of North China's Shanxi province on Wednesday.
The appointment was made at the 33rd meeting of the standing committee of the 11th Shanxi Provincial People's Congress.
The meeting also accepted the resignition of Wang Jun as governor of Shanxi, as he was named as the secretary of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) by the CPC Central Committee on Tuesday.
Li, born in June 1959, was elected as one of 171 alternate members of the 18th CPC Central Committee at the 18th CPC National Congress held in November.
