3. Panjiayuan Antique Market, Line 10
South of the East Third Ring Road lies Panjiayuan Antique Market, a former flea market and one of the best known antique markets in the city.
All kinds of antiques are on offer at thousands of stalls, including calligraphy, jade, coins, furniture, paintings and ancient calendars.
The market is particularly popular on weekends - but caution is advised. With counterfeits and copies in evidence, it is suggested that visitors simply have fun experiencing the market, rather than making an investment - unless you are an expert.
