Stars cancel events to mourn earthquake victims

Actress Zhao Wei cancelled the premiere news conference of her directorial debut So Young on April 21 to mourn the victims of the Ya'an earthquake.
Zhao has donated 500,000 yuan ($79,000) to the small town in Sichuan, hit by a magnitude-7 earthquake on April 20.
Huang Xiaoming, Deng Chao and Tong Dawei, three lead actors in American Dreams in China, a drama film due to premiere on May 15, also changed a promotion event on April 21 into a mourning event.
Taiwan singer and actor Jay Chou, donated 1 million yuan to the town and changed the news conference on his second directorial work Rooftop into a remembrance event on April 22.
