The 2nd Children DIY Micro Cartoon Contest was launched on April 23rd in the National Animation Industry Park, which is located in the Sino-Singaporean Tianjin Eco-city.
"Beautiful scenery”, “delicious food”, and “kind minds and good deeds” are the themes of the event, which is under the broader theme “Beautiful China” promoted by the State Council.
From April 24 to July 25, all the enthusiasts of children comics can visit the official website of the contest, at http://kid.qq.com/diy/, which offers hundreds of cartoon characters such as the Old Scholar and the Wulong Family.
Based on the three themes, contestants can pick characters from the Web pages and start to draw cartoons.
You can be a cartoonist even if you don’t know how to draw — all you need to do is to click the mouse, drag the character and key in your creative ideas.
"Many new games are added to the 2nd Children DIY Micro Cartoon Contest, which will offer children more space to exert their imagination,” said She Yanbin, the director of the official website for the contest.
According to the official information, more than 100,000 works were received at the 1st Children DIY Micro Cartoon Contest in 2012.
