A man was found dead in Dongdan Park in downtown Beijing on May 2.
A female witness said the man's body was found by an old man who walked around a rock garden in the park that morning, the Beijing-based Mirror Evening News reported.
The witness said the man was at his 30s. Blood was found at two spots of the park, the report said.
The newspaper said the man probably died on May 1 or early May 2, but police did not confirm that report.
Police removed the body at 11 am on May 2 after an on-site investigation.
The investigation of the case was ongoing, the report said.
