China Post issues quake relief stamp

BEIJING - The China Post Group on Friday issued an earthquake relief stamp, with proceeds from sales of the stamp going to Lushan county in Southwest China's Sichuan province.

Some 10 million stamps have been produced and will be sold for 1.2 yuan ($0.19) each, the group said.
The group has also donated 6 million yuan to the quake victims.
Quake relief donations made through China Post totaled 4.77 million yuan as of Thursday, with the donations going to the Red Cross Society of China.
A 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck Lushan county on April 20, leaving 196 dead, 21 missing and 13,484 injured.
