Five earthquake stations in Beijing will be open to visitors for a week next month in a bid to disseminate earthquake information and raise public awareness about earthquake safety, Beijing Morning Post reported Tuesday.
The seismographic stations will be in Changping, Haidian, Tongzhou, Yanqing and Fengtai districts. They will open to visitors from 9 am to 11 am, and from 2 pm to 4 pm during May 12 - 18.
The Changping station has the most complete equipment package and the one in Haidian has the best information about science. Residents can call the seismographic stations to get more details.
