A female Shanghai resident named Ni was shocked when two gunshots broke the double-glazed windows of her apartment on Tuesday morning, the Shanghai Morning Post reported.
Ni said she heard the loud noise at 10 am when she was using the computer in front of the window, and she smelled the gunpowder immediately after the first shot.
Another gunshot broke another window of her apartment half an hour later.
Ni added that it must have been done on purpose because such an accident couldn't have happened twice within such a short time in the same place.
According to the preliminary investigation from local police, the bullets are from a type of air gun and were shot from above the 10th floor in the building opposite Ni's apartment.
The local police are continuing to investigate.
