BEIJING - China has a favorable view of Republic of Korea (ROK) President Park Geun-Hye's proposal to establish a Northeast Asia peace pact, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said Thursday.
China hopes relevant parties will make more efforts to defuse the situation, Hua said, adding that China also hopes those parties will work together to maintain regional peace and stability.
Media reports stated that Park raised the proposal during a recent meeting with US President Barack Obama.
