The 22-year-old deputy secretary of China Communist Youth League's Wangjiang County Committee in Anhui province was sacked Thursday night after his qualifications in an open selection of officials were found to have been falsified.
Some posts published online on May 15 revealed that Chang Junsheng, who graduated from college in June last year, was promoted through an open selection program only a few months after his graduation, and questioned Chang's qualifications in terms of length of working experience.
The local disciplinary department and organization department soon launched an investigation and made the decision to dismiss Chang from the post on Thursday night.
According to a statement released by local authorities, Chang's father, a local government official, will also receive a punishment for the violation.
