Top author makes directorial debut

Best-selling author Guo Jingming, 30, will present his directorial debut on June 26.
Tiny Times is a city romance based on a novel by Guo.
Published in three volumes, each topped the bestseller list and the film features young stars from the mainland and Taiwan, such as Yang Mi and Kay Ko.
Romance in the city is a popular genre in the mainland film market with Finding Mr. Right and So Young grossing 520 million yuan ($83.9 million) and 600 million yuan respectively.
Jet Li set to get new kicks
Following the success of the Forbidden Kingdom in 2009, Jet Li will feature in another comedy also starring Jackie Chan.
Badges of Fury, focuses on a police duo played by Li and young actor Wen Zhang and highlight Li’s kung fu skills and Wen’s gift of comedy.
Li and Wen have worked together before. They played father and son in the 2011 tearjerker Ocean Heaven about autistic children, and mentor and student in The Sorcerer and the White Snake, a fantasy drama in the same year. Badges of Fury will premiere on June 28.
