A total of 60 parks in Shanghai will extend their opening hours from July 1 to Sept 30.
Eighteen parks, including Xujiahui and Maqiao, will be open all day.
Other parks will extend opening hours, said Shanghai Greenery and Public Sanitation Bureau on Monday. All 60 parks will open at 5 am.
Meanwhile, a new regulation against noise pollution will be enforced. No noise-making activities will be allowed between 6 pm and 8 am on weekdays, or at any time during weekends. Offenders face fines of 200 yuan ($32) to 500 yuan.
No musical instruments or audio equipment will be allowed in parks between 10 pm and 6 am.
