The International Children's Day gala, on CCTV, will feature a host of treats for the viewers, including a number of programs from overseas, in addition to mini-dramas and classic nursery rhymes.
International artists will include a traditional dancing troupe from Russia, step dancers from Japan, award-winning dancing group BAD Salsa from India, and world-famous magician Ernesto Planas Roldan from Cuba.
Running for more than 20 years, the gala has always seen "change" as the motivation for development, said Zhuang Dianjun, director of CCTV's children's channel.
The gala will also dedicate a special section dedicated to the victims of the Lushan earthquake.
The gala will be broadcast via CCTV 1 and China Network Television on June 1.
