Liaoning to boost reward for heroic deeds

Liaoning province plans to double the prize for civic-minded citizens who commit acts of bravery or carry out deeds to promote social justice, Liaoshen Evening News reported on Thursday.
Prizes will be categorized according to the sacrifice involved.
The highest reward will be 1.2 million yuan ($195,720), almost 60 times average annual income for residents in the province.
Other forms of compensation will also revised upwards including medical care and disability pension.
