A case involving an official, whose wife was famous for owning multiple properties, has been sent to the prosecuting authority after he was suspected of breaching Party discipline, Chinanews.com reported on Friday.
Sun Hongjun, the former director at the public security bureau in Xiaxian county, Yuncheng city in North China's Shanxi province, was removed from his office in 2011 for abuse of duty, the report said.
The provincial disciplinary authority said Sun's case has been filed and sent to prosecutors.
Sun is the husband of Zhang Yan who illegally registered her hukou in both Yuncheng and Beijing. In previous reports, it was said that she bought houses with the help of her husband during his tenure as a police chief of the county.
