A senior middle school in Luliang county, Yunnan province, was criticized for severely punishing two students for blowing bubbles and throwing paper planes, Xinhua News Agency reported on Tuesday.
The students were playing about 6:18 pm on June 1 after class, and refused to obey teachers asking them to stop.
As a result, they were expelled.
The county education bureau ordered the school to repeal the punishment on June 3 after conducting an investigation.
