A mature student died after being hit by a vehicle driven by another student who mistook the accelerator for the brakes in a driving school in Shanghai, eastday.com.cn, a local news portal, reported.

The dead student, surnamed Zhou, was 30 years old and a native of Jiangxi province. He was pushing a vehicle that had broken down with two instructors when another student drove into them.

Police and the traffic administrative department have launched an investigation.
