Lu Hao elected governor of Heilongjiang province

HARBIN - Lu Hao was elected governor of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province on Wednesday during the second session of the 12th Heilongjiang Provincial People's Congress, the local legislature.
Lu, born in June 1967, had served as first secretary of the Secretariat of the 16th Communist Youth League Central Committee since June 2008.
He was transferred to Heilongjiang on March 20 as deputy secretary of the Heilongjiang Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and appointed acting governor of Heilongjiang on March 25, replacing Wang Xiankui.
Wang was elected director of the Standing Committee of the Heilongjiang Provincial People's Congress at Wednesday's meeting.
