Xi delivers speech on ties with Mexico, LatAm

MEXICO CITY - Visiting Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a speech here Wednesday, elaborating on China's ties with Mexico and Latin America at large.
During Xi's talks with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto on Tuesday, the two leaders agreed to upgrade bilateral ties to the level of comprehensive strategic partnership.
The Chinese leader, who arrived in Mexico on Tuesday, is on the last leg of his Latin American trip, which has already taken him to Trinidad and Tobago and Costa Rica.
From Mexico, Xi will fly to the US state of California for a summit meeting with his US counterpart Barack Obama on Friday and Saturday.
