Hong Kong airline Dragonair announced on Wednesday new Chinese and Western meals for their in-flight menu.

The mouth-watering treats are courtesy of Beijing's 1949 Duck de Chine Chinese Restaurant and Raffle's Beijing's French restaurant Jaan.

Duck de Chine's food is based on Cantonese style but the dishes will include sautéed scallop with asparagus and stir-fried Mongolian lamb with ginger and garlic.

Jaan's executive sous chef Riaan Burger bases his gastronomic creations on traditional French cooking, including crab salad with grapefruit, and braised pork cheek with red wine sauce.

Dragonair provided more than 8 million in-flight meals last year, according to Dane Cheng, Dragonair's general manager in China.
