China's top quality authorities will evaluate provincial governments on their work annually, starting this year, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said on Thursday.
Five indexes, including quality of products, projects and quality management, were included in the Regulation on Evaluation of Work on Quality issued by the State Council.
Evaluation will be led by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, and provincial governments will be rated D, the lowest score, if any regional incident regarding product quality occurs within the government's jurisdiction, according to the regulation.
