The World Ice Wine Alliance (WIWA) announced the establishment of its China Center recently.
The alliance was set up in 2012 in Canada, and is headquartered in Montreal. WIWA aims to promote ice wine and has organized a number of international events and held competitions.
China, as a major ice wine country, has seen rising ice wine sales. But some low-end sweet wines have tarnished its image. The center aims to unite related ice wine enterprises to recommend good-quality wines and prompt the healthy development of the Chinese market.
Zhang Shutai is president of the center.
