A county in Hebei province plans to open the first clothing-optional beach in north China.
Tian Wenxue, deputy head of Luan county, said the county will invest 3.2 billion yuan (US$516 million) in the development of a tourist spot covering an area of 8,000 mu (533 hectares) on both sides of the Luan river, with another 100 million yuan on digital multimedia equipment.
The plan also includes a golf course, an equestrian area and a clothing-optional beach, he said.
Luan county is located in east Hebei province and under the administration of Tangshan city.
