Singer's son charged in gang rape case

The son of a well-known singer was indicted on Monday on charges of taking part in a gang rape along with four other male suspects.
Li Tianyi, the 17-year-old son of Li Shuangjiang, a famous singer in the People's Liberation Army, is accused along with four others of raping a girl at a hotel in Beijing in February.
Beijing Haidian district people's prosecuting department said that police investigations had provided evidence that they had committed a criminal offense, and the department has initiated a public prosecution for the case in the people’s court of Haidian district.
Local police have not released details of the case, in accordance with the law, as four of the five suspects are minors, including Li.
