1 dead, 7 injured in central China blast

WUHAN - One person was killed and seven others were injured in a chemical plant explosion that occurred in Central China's Hubei province on Wednesday, local authorities said.
The blast occurred around noon at a biochemical plant in the city of Suizhou, local firefighting authorities said, adding that one person remains missing following the explosion.
More than 100 firefighters have been sent to the scene of the blast.
