Man confesses to causing car accident to steal bag

Police in Wuhan, Hubei province, seized a suspect who confessed to causing a car accident in order to rob a woman, Wuhan Evening News reported on Friday.
On July 19, police detained a man surnamed Chen, 51, who confessed to driving a car to hit the pedestrian on July 1.
Police said Chen fled the scene after allegedly stealing the 23-year-old woman's bag, which contained 1,800 yuan ($293) and a mobile phone.
The woman was seriously injured in the accident.
