A video showing a Beijing man who proposed to his girlfriend with live kittens arranged in a container as if they were a bunch of flowers received many hits online on Friday.
The man, who was assisted by four people holding a red banner that read "Zhang Yazhi, I want to be your 'pet lover' forever" and a man playing guitar, waited outside his girlfriend's office building.
When his girlfriend came out, she was moved to tears and, to cheers and applause, promised to marry him. The kittens are now being cared for by the woman and her friends.
