A 62-year-old woman was found dead after police forced open an apartment on the seventh floor of a residential building in downtown Yibin on Tuesday.

The woman, named Zhou, lived alone. Her neighbors suspected something was wrong after they detected an unpleasant smell coming from her apartment and called police.

An autopsy showed she died of natural causes.
