Beijing has issued a new metro smart card that could enable commuters to add credit through their mobile phones, Beijing Youth Daily reported on Sunday.

The Feifu card or instant-payment card, is designed as a smartphone accessory that could be also used to add credit to the phone and buy film tickets online.

Users must download an e-card app before using those functions.
